I have had nothing but great experiences with the four Advantiun ovens I have owned. Fir the past year I have been in between houses and have been renting an apartment with a microwave that appears to be a top of the line and it lacks so many functions available with the Advantiun.

Recently installed a new GE Advantium over the range microwave. This replaced an old similar unit that served us well for 20+ years. The new unit has a much better led screen and is more intuitive. Also like the racks included for convection and speed cooking.

I had Advantium oven in my old place, when I moved I brought it with me. Unfortunately while in storage mice got into it somehow and you know you can't get that smell out. I knew I was buying an Advantium again. New model is a bit different but I love it. My only disappointment is it doesn't come in black stainless steel to match my other appliances.

We had the GE Profile Advantium Over-the-Range Oven for over ten years. We chose the 240 Volt version. It finally quit on us in March 2022. We liked the original Advantium so much that we chose to replace it with a new one of the same type (GE Profile, stainless steel, 240 Volt). The Advantium costs more than twice the price of a regular microwave oven, but to us, it is worth the cost. The Advantium has heat lamps that can brown the food and cook/bake in a fraction of the time of a conventional oven, by using a combination of the microwave and the heat lamps. It takes a little practice, but after a short learning curve, you learn to adjust the heat lamp and microwave settings to get the food cooked just the way you like it. Baked potatoes can be baked with the Advantium in half the time, but still get the taste and look of potatoes baked in a conventional oven. You can bake or even reheat items using the heat lamps and it doesn't come out soggy, and it can be browned and crisp. The control panel is pre-programmed with settings for just about anything you'd ever want to cook, and you can also manually set it up to cook with any combination of the lamps and microwave that you wish. It even has a convection oven feature, and, if you're wondering, yes, you can use just the microwave without the heat lamps, if you like. It also has a countdown timer and vent fan and a surface light built in. We also like the look of the oven with our other GE Profile appliances. I have only one complaint - the clock display will not stay on all the time. It goes off 30 seconds after the oven is inactive. This clock was the one we always looked at on the former oven and we really miss it on the new one. But, GE is not responsible for this issue. It is a requirement by the DOE to save energy, and therefore, it cannot be overridden. REALLY??? They think that shutting off a small digital clock is going to save a lot of energy? Leave it to the government to require something so stupid and inconvenient. But....we do love the Advantium and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to save a lot of time and heat in the kitchen. Just realize that it will cost a lot more than a regular microwave. But, we believe the benefits outweigh the extra cost.

This is our second Advantium oven, first one lasted 22 years. Love the clean smooth button surface and most of the features....BUT WISH THE CLOCK WOULD STAY ON!!!! Owner manual states the clock only remains on for a short period of time (~10 seconds), then turns off ...'to save energy'!!! Give me a break, how much energy does an LED clock use???

I am replacing my GE Profile Advantium, I've had it for a 11 years and I just love all the features it has. I practically live in the kitchen and I used all my appliances. The fast cooking feature it has is a plus when you are having company and you like enjoying visiting instead of being in front of the stove. I highly recommend this microwave

Daily clock display is not there. The old advantium that we had for 20 years worked quite well and clock display was helpful. Now we are missing that. GE can probably add that to the future models. Microwave function is very good. Speed cook function - we need more time to give an opinion. Convection cooking works well. So far, I like it. It is little too pricy. I hope we can enjoy it for another 20 years with no problem like the old one. One more thing. When ventilation is used microwave door gets fogy.

My old oven was showing its age so decided to swap it for a new one. Nicer clean design though the handle is different from the website and user manual which is a bit odd. The true killer is the clock display turning off. Does the government really need to get involved with my clock displays? Couldn't there be a way to offer the clock to stay on as an option through a key sequence? Love this oven on many levels, it's my only oven in my small apartment & it can handle almost any task. 20min delicious crispy juicy chicken, no problem. Baking a cheesecake with no issue, cooking frozen cod filets to perfection fast and easy. Cleaning is the only thing that can be difficult.

This is so much more than a microwave oven. It can microwave, bake, toast, and speed cook. People need to know that this is the version of Advantium that requires a higher electricity source. It's worth the effort to install the wiring.

We purchased our first Advantium "microwave" when we remodeled our home in 2001. After 10 years of heavy use, it was time to replace it. Of course our only choice was another Advantium. We even waited a month for production of the newest version to be completed and shipped and we are not the most patient people. We have often been amazed how quickly items are ready when utilizing the speed cook function. It makes it so easy to prepare tasty, healthy meals in a fraction of the time required utilizing conventional ovens. Bottom line - we love our Advatium oven.

This is a brilliant product and remember it is in fact a stainless steel interior oven that as a bonus also microwaves - so It has so so much more cooking functionality than the plain old microwave it replaces. It so far has performed (exactly) as promised and has actually changed the way we cook which is hard to do for an older couple used to oven or stovetop cooking. This 240V over the range model is just what a family needs. We have cooked 12 chicken tenders at a time, flawlessly and in only 10 minutes. It does two steaks PERFECTLY in only 6 minutes (and yes, I mean like take prime steaks out of the package, set them to the pre-set cooking settings and in 6 minutes later with one "turn" towards the end of the cook cycle you have perfectly done steaks) that were cooked fork tender!. Because the interface is so well laid out using a dial to select your food type and amount of food and because it tells you what to do for best results we are getting perfectly repeated dishes each time we cook - it is so consistent! My wife who is (not) a scratch type cook loves it for the "just use the programmed settings". approach to cooking. Yes, of course you can go on your own and do whatever custom cooking type you want to do - and I'll say it- though am a very very good cook - I have yet to outsmart the pre-programmed cook cycles. They just flat out work right. It has a generous interior for standard size dishes but honestly it is the rotating metal pans used in the bottom for traditional baking and roast items that are so good - Im not joking it seriously could almost replace the entire full size oven that sits beneath it. We have barely tapped the possibilities but it actually makes you WANT to try new recipes out. It wipes clean and in fact makes less "mess" than stovetop cooking since everything at least stays "in" the oven. I literally don't understand why this has not replaced everyone's microwaves because there is so much more utility. I suppose it's the price but in case you were not sure this really is worth the extra money. I highly recommend checking some youtube videos out to show how it can be used to broaden your cooking skills. Actually I think it is time GE did some "update" videos just to better explain how to use the product. I saw GE did release some new videos but I think more people would buy this technology if they could see for themselves just how good it cooks with more "live" demonstrations inside a normal kitchen vs. the "pretty" production videos that people nowadays seem to like. Maybe I will have to do my own LOL Baffling that this technology has been available for decades and it still remains somewhat of a background cooking technology. Never buying a plain microwave again. Also no need for a countertop toaster oven either. It just kind of does it all somehow.

We love Advantiums so much, this is our third. One came with our first house we loved it so much we added one to our custom home build. Now we've moved out of state and replaced the over the range microwave here with another Advantium. Not only can you make baked sweet potatoes in 10 minutes and a juicy whole chicken in 35 minutes, you can air fry anything you want in this as well! Leftover fish & chips? No problem! Use the speed oven features to warm it up and it's like fresh. I'm anxious to try making fries out of raw potatoes in it next--I've heard it does great! Note: Get the higher voltage model if you want to do these things. IMO, the lower voltage model is basically a nice microwave, but if you want to do true speed cooking, you need the higher voltage model. There's only one bad thing about them...if it's your only microwave and you've cooked in it and want to nuke something soon after, you can't (you'll have to use speed cook option instead--a little slower than microwave). It will be too hot to use the glass plate/turntable. You can only speed cook/bake on the metal plate and microwave on the glass one. That's my only complaint. I still think it's totally worth it and won't be without one again. Cannot recommend these enough and we've never had a problem with ours.

My whole family loves our Advantium 240V. Cooking time is super fast and very easy to use. My teenage boys find it very easy to cook chicken, pizza rolls and biscuits in just minutes with no preheat. Just click on the food item and push start. Fast, easy and great tasting food

This is my second Speed cook Microwave and I love the speed cook feature, unfortunately the new microwave although GE PRofile like my last on does not have the same type of door opening and I had to remove one of my cabinet doors for it to open all this way. I love the functionality of the products I've purchased but GE keeps changing the size and design which creates additional costs to adapt. My purchased a Profile range to go with this microwave and had to have a plumber out to move the gas line because the back of the range was changed . Is there a fit guarantee for my microwave?
