I had the exact same stove but in white. It lasted me 21 years. I just bought same stove except in black this time. Great value for the money considering longevity of appliance. I couldn™™t be happier. Model is exactly same except for one minor change. I fully believe this one will last me 20 years +! Great product a bit pricey however it pays for itself with the reliability.

Our warranty expires tomorrow. We just found out that the reason we have to turn our oven on a higher degree than called for is because the oven door isn™™t flush with the oven on one side. We can feel the oven heat coming out that one side of the door. The burners won™™t stay on high for cooking noodles or boiling things that need to boil. We had a drop in GE drop in for 45 years. It lasted a VERY long time. We only had to replace the oven heating element once in all those years. It finally wore out so we purchased this new one from you. This new one cost more than double the price of a 30™ stove, but we didn™™t want to put money into redoing our kitchen cabinets. So we but the bullet and got another 27™ drop in. The old one was a dream, that was when things were made to last. I read another customer™™s review on these new models. It sounds like we received his return. He had the same problem with the oven door not being flush with the oven and the under side of the top of the stove has not been coated, which means it will probably peter out way before it should. I wish we would have found this problem earlier, but if you™™re the great company you were back in the day, you will honor our warranty and help us fix these problems.

Have not had our stove very long, 30 days? But we love it. The oven seems a little smaller that our older 27" stove, but does the job and does it well. I love that cleaning is so easy. Any spills can be cleaned quickly. Controls are easy to use. I love that you can see the oven heating up to temperature. Installation was a breeze!

I can't believe they still make this exact stove 20+ years later, only a safety upgrade for the cheap looking and crappy coils. Oh and trying to clean under those drip pans, no thanks. I'm sure in no time this one would be as marked and scarred as my old one, with the permanent burn mark at the oven door from the heat of using, that's right normal operation leaves dark brown burn marks on the oven door. Crappy model, looks cheap and does not hold up, they just recycle and keep raising the price on it. Mine looked awful within a couple years, hung onto it just waiting to see if better would come along. Nope they aren't improving. I'm ready to update cabinets just to move away from drop-ins forever.

The quality of this range was poor. Several screws were not completely tightened down on the unit. Oven door side gaps are excessively different. One side has 1/4 inch gap and the other almost none.

I owned this stove for 20 years. I finally decided to replace it seeing it was the only 27" one on the market and I'd seen it go on/off market for awhile. The old one was still working. The new one is identical to the old one minus some outside cosmetic changes. I mean I took the back off and it was exactly the same thing. Good because the last one lasted a long time without issue. Two differences. One is the sensi temp burners. Great safety idea, bad implementation. Cooking on them is frustrating. I could replace them with after market normal ones but these are good quality so I operated and bypassed the sensor. Working good now. Secondly is I'm glad I kept the broiler tray from the old stove because this one doesn't come with one. A nearly $2k oven with no broiler tray. I checked and it seems to be sold as an accessory so I guess it doesn't have one. Geesh.

The black store looks really nice. The burners is not the best quality and they could have left off the center cap. It look like it is there temporary for delivery only. It takes away the elegant look of the stove.

Horrible!!! Burners cycle down in temp so often I can't even boil water or simmer food. How do you cook pasta or boil corn on the cobb when your stove doesn't stay hot long enough? I will be calling GE customer service managers about why they can sell a stove that doesn't cook.

Our last stove/range lasted 33 years. I hope this one does too. This new stove/range is really nice. It has an automatic setting of 350 degrees and when you turn it on, it you can watch it as it preheats to get to the temperature you need and once there, it beeps to let you know it's ready. I was very impressed when I baked cupcakes with my grandson, because they were done in the shortest timeframe, per the recipe, compared to my old one where it took longer for them to bake. This is a very nice stove/range and I recommend it to everyone that needs a 27" drop in range.

After installing defects were found. Underside of top has large areas that were not finished. The inside of oven door has a chip & also the oven door does not fit perfectly. The oven seems to be working okay as I have checked the temperatures, but the door is not flush with oven.

replacement for existing 27" GE drop-in. No other vendors available for drop in units.. Installation not difficult but required some minor cabinet modification since dimensions are not exactly the same. May be at least in part due to the seld cleaning oven on the newer model. Have been happy with performance so far. Pricey for what it is but no ther options available for drop in.

So far, so good. I had to wait several months for this range to be delivered. It has only been installed for a couple of days for it he's exceeded my expectations so far. It replaced a stove that was at least 26 years old and has a lot more features than my original stove. Mu husband is looking at it now and just said "I love this stove!" So funny.

Not many manufacturers continue to make the 27" drop-in stove. Very good quality, and such a convenience to be able to get this size without special ordering. Good value! Nice features! Looks very nice too! Definitely recommend!

We purchased this stove to replace it's predecessor, which finally failed after 23 years....we have limited options for room. I love everything about it except the range elements with the "safety" ring in the center. It turns off the high burner when trying to cook pasta and then cycles back on...takes twice as long to cook my pasta...none of the burners were level, took some careful bending of the element where it plugs into the range...might look for replacement elements in the future without that option.

The reason we bought the GE range was that it was the only drop in range that would fit the cut out in our counter top. We had a drop in GE range prior to this that was 35+ years old and we liked it. I feel that price was a little on the high side, but GE did have what was needed.

The Range is very good, it is easy to clean and fun to use. I was very disapointed with the customer service. Before I ordered the item on the GE website, I spent nearly an hour with your customer service rep specifically about power supply cable to order. I was instructed that I would need to order the additional 3 prong power cord because none would be supplied. I contacted my local Lowes store and had the old range removed. It was connected hard-wired with a shielded cable physically with 3 twist nuts to the house power. The electrician then installed a 3 prong power outlet ($750 service call). With the order I included a 3 prong & 4 prong cables to meet either needed plug (which I returned for a refund). When I contacted GE again, they told me I would not need either cable, because the unit would come equipped with the 3 prong cable installed. When I received the Range, it only had the shielded 3 strand wire installed! I then had to call the electrician ($250) service call to romove the 3 prong outlet and hardwire the unit to the main power. Thus GE customer service cost me $1000.00 because the customer service agent & his supervisor were not knowledgeable enough! Customer service Sucks!

I love the look and it works very efficiently, however it does NOT fit exactly like my old model. It may be off by maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch on length and because of this we needed to shim it to sit a bit higher so we could still use the drawer under the stove. Our old model was the same stove from years ago! Should be identical you would think!

We've had a GE drop-in oven/stovetop in our house for over 35 years. This model replaced our old one with very little modification to the countertop and cabinets. It has better oven controls and easier access under the stovetop burners. A much needed upgrade!
