This is a loud refrigerator

When researching this purchase I read several negative comments regarding the loud and continual sound of the compressor and/or some part of the function of this refrigerator. It was installed yesterday late afternoon, it is 10:30AM today and to my knowledge it has not stopped running since being plugged in. I have digital thermometers in the fridge and in the freezer. The fridge is at the set temperature while the freezer is still working to get to the recommended zero degrees. I hope that means that this unit will quiet down once it reaches temp otherwise I am not sure I can live with this noise.

Freezer capacity is much smaller than the listed 6.0 cubic feet spec; I moved my existing frozen items into this model from my old one, which was also 6.0 cf & I was unable to get over 1 cubic feet of product to fit! Also, there is a constant on/off buzz while the motor runs which is extremely irritating.

Looks good so far, if only the delivery men did not make a Huge Dent in the Side of my New Refrigerator. Hope it lasts with this Terrible Dent all the way across the side of it. Sad. Fouind another Dent on the other side that is much worse. Paid way too much for a damaged refrigerator.

Lots of room, easily see all my food. Lighting great. Old frig had top freezer & we had a hard time getting things out without breaking you neck to see past the freezer door on top. Kept a lot of things on the front edge of the shelves as hard to reach into back of them. Was unable to get bottom freezer frig in 2022 due to the COVID. The company was not getting parts in to make them.

A lot of good features...but it's noisy

I appreciate the capacity of this refrigerator and the shelves meet my needs very well. The temperature is maintained well but I'm not sure how efficient this refrigerator is. The compressor runs most of the time and it is noisy enough to be irritating. I have seen the documentation that states it's more efficient to keep the compressor running rather than to stop and start it frequently. However, it needs to be quiet if it is going to run so much.

We first purchased GTS19KGNRWW fridge. When it arrived within a few hours it was totally horrible. I would highly get rid of this model. Bottom refrigerator is way too low. Back breaking. It™€™s ok for mini people. We went the next day to tell them. Bought a bottom freezer GDE21EGKWW which is absolutely perfect. Sad part we had to pay 175.00 restock which I know they will sell it in their outlet. Also due to the conflict we are not eligible for 200.00 rebate. We got screwed. Purchased 3 items.

Totally delighted in my moms new refrigerator! She is a double amputee who lives on a fixed income, and a refrigerator with the freezer above was really challenging for her to navigate. The efficiency of the freezer below, for her in her wheelchair is paramount. It was also a huge blessing that this particular refrigerator is also equipped with an ice maker! That is going to provide a significant amount of savings through the year, especially for someone who is already so socioeconomically disadvantaged.

I love my new fridge my old GE fridge was freezer on the top and the refrigerator part on the bottom, which was very difficult to get the things on the bottom shelf everything that was all tucked in in the back very difficult made it difficult for my husband too so when it was time to buy a new one because the old fridge leaked we chose the bottom freezer type, which is so nice. Everything is up on the top. The shelves on the door fit everything I can take things in and out of the fridge so easily I just love it. Thank you.

We picked this fridge to fit the available space, but we regret it because of how noisy it is. It™€™s much noisier than the 15 year old model it replaced. In addition to the compressor sounds, there are buzzes that can be fixed by pushing hard on the fridge. It seems like some panels are loose or touching on the back of the fridge, and they buzz when the compressor runs. The door doesn™€™t swing closed. It swings to 1/2™€ open, then stops. You have to push it closed. The light at the top is barely adequate. It leaves a lot of dark shadows in the lower shelves and back of the deep shelves. More lighting would be great.

I purchased 2 identical refrigerators and set them side by side. The left refrigerator ice maker stopped after 30 days of use. GE sent out a company to look at the issue. The guy said they would be back with parts. That was over 2 months ago. Lucky for me the ice maker started back up and is running fine. Have yet to hear from the repair company.

Upper area nice and roomy™€¦ no more bending. Freezer drawer doesn™€™t fit as much as my previous top freezer. You cannot fit a frozen pizza box. Will have to get used to fishing down for items. Biggest negative is it™€™s very noisy. There™€™s a sound similar to a printer that is constant™€¦ like a truck backing up ambient beep. I find this very annoying as I can hear it several rooms away. Door swings open. Good appearance. I like white.

White General Electric bottom freezer refridgreator Not knowing where to comment on the issue we had after the delivery men left......we were unable to move the fridge AND unable to unscrew the feet to allow the freedom of movement for centering the fridge in the space it was in. I went to the store the next morning & the fellow(I don't remember his name :-( )-- in appliances that morning( 11/19) was able to suggest we use a 'lever'(broom handle)to raise the side up to be able to access the feet on both sides, one at a time. It worked!!!!!

I like it only "ok", but would never have picked it out. I am 90 years old, and the freezer drawer is too heavy. Likewise, the refrigerator door is designed for large, heavy containers. However, it makes the door hard to close when used in that capacity. I am thankful there is a buzzer when either door is not closed completely. However, it should be louder since you can hardly hear it when in another room. I am disappointed because I did not get to pick it out myself and I would certainly have chosen another model.

Well my refrigerator was only installed today but already I love it so much more space without being too big! I love having the freezer on the bottom. The shelves on the door are super sturdy compared to my old fridge and I love how adjustable the shelves and drawers are. I also love the alarm to close the fridge because, my little one has a tendency to not close the fridge all the way.
